LGM Soil Amendments SUCCESS Premium Topdress for Lawns & Gardens is a premium hand-crafted blend of natural and organic ingredients plus beneficial soil microbes designed specifically for your lawn. This all purpose mix is ready to use on all varieties of grass.


Improving Soil Before Planting New Lawn

Adding organic matter to the soil before planting lawn will help increase drainage and create a better overall environment for your lawn to thrive.

  1. Spread a 1" layer of Success over the soil and mix into the top 4"-6" of soil.
  2. Grade and water thoroughly. Allow 2-3 days to permit settling and drying.
  3. After raking and leveling, the soil is ready for planting. (A roller may be used to save time.)
Topdressing

Seeding: Use Success as seed cover to improve germination and establishment of new lawn.

  1. After spreading seed, cover seed with a thing 1/8" layer (one bag covers 200sqft) of Success. A barrel type spreader is recommended for best results.
  2. Water thoroughly with a fine spray (do not flood) and keep moist until seed germinates.

Planting Plugs/Stolons: Use Success as a cover when planting plugs/stolons of dichondra, hybrid bermuda, ground cover and more to improve establishment of new lawn.

  1. After planting plugs/stolons, cover a thing 1/8" layer (one bag covers 200sqft) of Success. A barrel type spreader is recommended for best results.
  2. Water thoroughly with a fine spray (do not flood) and keep moist until established.

General Lawn Upkeep

Use Success in early summer for general lawn upkeep. Adding depleted organic matter back into the soil will help protect tender roots from the sun, prevent evaporation and create a better environment for your lawn to thrive.

  1. Apply a thin 1/8" layer (one bag covers 200sqft) of Success over entire lawn area. A barrel type spreader is recommended for best results.

Application Usage: 2.0 cu ft will cover approx. 100 sq. ft. for seed covering/top dressing or when mixing in the soil 2" - 6" deep will cover 25 sq. ft.

Growing Tip: Cover pot with clear plastic to create a warm and humid greenhouse environment. Remove plastic sheet when seedlings appear.
