All-Purpose
2-IN-1 Planting
Mix & Mulch
Best Use:
This all-purpose mix is ready to use for all flowers, veggies, shrubs, and trees. LGM 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch contains a higher quality mix of ingredients that support longer lasting quality of amendments within your soil.
Mulching
Hot and dry summer weather can be stressful to many plants. A top-dressing of 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch will help reduce evaporation and provide a cool protective root covering. The dark texture will give a rich contrasting color to your flower beds.
- Spread a 2"-4" layer of 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch around plants to cover the rooting area.
Take care not to cover the stem/trunk of plants.
New Plantings
- Spread a 1"-2" layer of 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch over the soil and mix into the top 4"-6" of soil.
- Smooth soil and plant normally.
Trees & Shrubs
- Dig hole twice the size of the root ball.
- Blend 2 parts 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch to 1 part native soil<.
- Fill hole with the blended soil mixture so the top of your plant's rootball is slightly higher than the surrounding soils. This allows for some setting to occur.
- Finish filling in the hole with the blended soil mixture and tamp down firmly.
- Water thoroughly to remove air pockets.
Application Usage:
5 cu ft cover 3 sq ft 2" deep or 2 sq ft 3" deep
1.5 cu ft covers 9 sq ft 2" deep or 6 sq ft 3" deep or 4.5 sq ft 4" deep
Growing Tip: To reduce evaporation and provide a cool covering for roots, spread a 1" layer of 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch around new plantings.
Take care to not cover the stems/trunks of plants.
